The Scheme

Te Puru Holiday Park has created an exciting opportunity for people to own their own slice of paradise. Purchase options within the Park enable families to preserve their treasured pastime of holidaying at the beach, in a welcoming community environment. Best of all, affordable prices mean the spectacular coast and bush surroundings can be enjoyed by a broad range of people, rather than just those few lucky one's who can afford coastal property.

The Park has a management plan, grounds policy and camp rules in place for the safety and comfort of owners, occupiers and other Park users, information available at the park office.  Camp sites are a reasonable size, on average 100m² which provide plenty of room for a caravan, awning, car, and decks.  Site occupancy is limited to a maximum of 6 persons at any one time.

Enjoy generous holiday stays for you, your family and friends but not permanent residency.

Resource Consent and occupancy covenants do not allow permanent residence, i.e. you must have a permanent residence elsewhere where you do live.

Separate boat parking facilities and secure storage units available.

A reticulated sewage system services all sites in the Park, available to you by paying a connection fee of $2,500 plus annual service fee of $125, you organise your own qualified tradesman to connect.

Power is meter read and charged separately on a monthly basis. We are a secondary power provider member of UDL (Utility Disputes) who can be contacted on 0800 22 33 40 or + 64 (0) 4 914 4630 or info@udl.co.nz for any unresolved power issues that may arise.

Ownership

Purchase a 1/135 share in Te Puru Holiday Park and own it outright having a title in perpetuity with exclusive use of your chosen campsite.  Enjoy generous stays for you, your family and friends, as well as the opportunity of rental return if you so choose and the benefit of capital gain on your investment.  With managers taking care of all the ground maintenance and upkeep of facilities, for a reasonable annual levy, all you have to do is turn up and enjoy yourself. The holiday park being like a small community offers the added benefit of security, especially when you are elsewhere.

Sites currently start at $130,000 with annual fees of $4,681 (2024 pricing incl GST).

Thames Coromandel District Council  owner targeted SUIP rates are charged separately at cost, approximately $687/annum in three instalments.

Occupancy

An alternative option to Ownership is to rent a site at Te Puru Holiday Park on an annual basis. This enables you to retain your accommodation permanently on a site, and guarantee your spot. When occupying a site you have an unlimited number of holiday stays.  An annual levy for the regular up keep and maintenance of the grounds and facilities keeps the place looking good.  So all you have to do is enjoy yourself as soon as you arrive, no mowing lawns or trimming trees, just holidaying.

Term lease a site on an annual rollover lease.  This option gives you all the rights and privileges of use of the site as if you owned that site, i.e. extended stays for you and guests, but not rental return.  Term leases $7,200/annum (2024 pricing incl GST).

Fees are payable in advance (monthly, quarterly, or annually as agreed with management) and prices are reviewed annually.
